this is not a game , this happened really to me .I am Indian .They did not gave my passport back . They took my passport and send me to Bangalore Airport back .I know they don't have any right to hold any one's property that too a country citizenship passport.I am looking for an answer and advice , not question for a question
India doesn't allow anyone to enter the country without a passport. Period.
Try calling the USCIS/Customs customer service, I believe there was a post sometime back in which a person gave the customer service numbers of all the airports. You will have to search. Try logging a complaint with the Indian embassy in US (Chicago, Houston, LA, Washington.)

Hi All,
I filed joint tax return for me and my wife (who is on H4 visa) and sent the W-7 form (for ITIN processing) alongwith the tax return files prepared by my Tax Consultant. However, IRS changed my tax return to single return and reduced the fed refund accordingly, saying that ITIN for my wife is missing. When I called them, they could not confirm but only said that the ITIN could be still undergoing processing. Can you please advise what I should do now on my behalf to get back the refund balance amount?

You should contact senator, congress man to protest about it. It's better to spend time in contacting them then standing in DMV's queue time again. Use your IV's local chapter and initiate a drive to meet law makers.

You must ask the badge number and note down the time of each call. Then file a complaint if you are not satisfied with the customer service experience.
Once we have a proof of hundreds of such written complaints, IV can also follow up. We need people to file 'written' complaints in order to help improve the service.
I do not have any ID (She spoke that too quickly) but I know the time (8 am cst) and I am prepared to give the written complaint.

If it is a "FOR-PROFIT" organization, they may use you as a "free-service" in place of a "paid-service".
If you want to use this experience to get a job, then they will surely question what was your status while working for this company in US, and eventually they will find what kind of organization it is.
If you don't want to use this experience for a future job, it is surely not recommended but it is your choice to take risk, you may be safe until some one complaints.
At the end if it is a "NON-PROFIT" organization, you have a chance to defend.
If you want to go by the LAW, you have to satisfy all subclauses, it is annoying, painful, but thats how they made the LAW :)

Where is the best place to learn Peoplesoft ? What is future scope of Peoplesoft ? Also where is a good place to learn SAP or Oracle Financials ?
Do local Univ or Community colleges - Computer Science or MIS departments offter these classes ? Does one need to learn C to learn these applications ?
My only prior programming experience is in Basic and Fortran languages eons ago.

I have applied for my EAD and I-485 in the month of June '07 and all that i have recieved so far is my wife's EAD. I still did not recieve my EAD nor the finger prints notice nor the 485 yet. I have to move to IL from TX now and i am in a big confusion now. I heard that the mails from the USICS will not be forwarded to any new address by the USPS. If i would want to change my address with the USCIS now will it be a good move or is there any other alternative that you all could suggest me...Please advice me on this issue and help me out of this situation.

I changed the address and notified that with USCIS using AR-11 form. After you submit that form, you will be asked whether there are any pending applications with USCIS for which the address change has to be applied. If you select that option, one after other you can give your receipt numbers of I-485, I-131 and I-765 and change the addresses. It is not a big deal.
At the same time, I advice you not to change the address, if the EAD status says "Card Production Ordered" or "Approval Notice Sent".
Coming to Postal Dept, they will forward everything unimportant like flyers, stupid credit card offers, and yellow pages, but promptly return USCIS documents back to them. So, you need to call in CIS helpline and request them to resend the documents.
BTW for someone who applies in June 2007, I think it is too delayed if you did not receive EAD. Did you check with CIS why it is delayed?

Brief Description of my Case Joined Vision Systems Group INC,(VSGInc), Southplains Field, NJ in the year March 2003. My H1B was transferred to VSG Inc from my previous company which got merged with another company. VSG Inc filed my Labor Certification in 2003 (EB3) on Dec 23,2003 which has gone to Back Log Center, Harrisburg, PA and got approved only in Dec, 2006. In July 2006 VSG Inc, filed PERM under EB2 and got approved and filed I140 under EB2. But when USCIS sent RFE, my company has withdrawn the I140 without responding to RFE. In July 2007, during 2007 visa fiasco, VSG Inc filed I140 electronically, and I485 and other papers concurrently in July 02, 2007. Got the receipt notices for I140 dated 07-02-2007 and for I485 and others on 06-05-2008. Received EAD and travel docs in July 2008. My I140 is still pending at Nebraska Service center as on date. When contacted trough the Local Congress Man, Dept. Of Home land Security replied on Feb 09, 2009 as follows: �The processing of I-140 has been delayed, not yet ready for decision as it has been selected for extended security review, independent of FBI name check and fingerprints. Until the review is completed, we cannot move forward on this case. We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the review is complete. However, we have contacted the security team POC to see if this case can be reviewed to see if it can be moved for adjudication.� VISION SYSTEMS GROUP, INC., a New Jersey Domestic Profit Corporation, with a branch office in Coon Rapids, Iowa, was also indicted in a ten count federal indictment that included one count of conspiracy, eight counts of mail fraud, and one count of �Notice of Forfeiture� in the amount of $7,400,000.
